Create a webmap with QGIS

How do you make a webmap? Well, it couldn't be easier today. QGIS has had several plugins developed to help with the process. In this series of video tutorials we look at how you can create your own GIS webmap... for free! For more hints and tips on GIS along with some great free GIS data sources check out our YouTube channel. Share, like and enjoy!

Happy Mapping!

In this first step we look at taking geotagged photos with a smartphone and getting them into a map. Thanks to the developers at QGIS Cyprus for creating the ImportPhotos plugin.

With our geotagged photos mapped now we need to get all this into a webmap. To do this we can use the awesome QGIS2web plugin.

Our webmap is working on the local machine but how do we get this out to our adoring public? For that we need a host and in the following video tutorial we look at hosting our webmap... for free? Yes, of course, for free ;-)

Well, congratulations. You've made it to the end of the series! If you've used these videos to make your own webmap I'd love to see what you've created. You can find me on Twitter or through the contact page here. If you'd like to show your support and make more GIS tutorials possible you can through paypal or simply share this post :-) Thanks for reading and Happy Mapping!
